💪🏾 Having lived in the Bay Area years ago, I’ve long admired Betty Reid Soskin, who famously said, “What gets remembered is a function of who’s in the room.” She spent her life advocating for the stories that usually get left out and was 104 when she passed away in December. For Black History Month, I’ve revisited her video tour of the Rosie the Riveter World War II National Historical Park. I’m very glad her voice is in the collection.

🛠️ Some in-house maintenance: This week, we’re moving TKSST’s daily, weekly, and member newsletters over to Flodesk, a woman-owned, independent company that I’ve followed for years.

I’d hoped the ad network on our current platform would help cover our operating costs, but most of those ads haven't been the right fit for TKSST. I’ve decided it’s better to move to a partner that shares similar values while I look for a more thoughtful way to keep TKSST sustainable.
